Section 7102-1.0 - State-administered program
1.1 The Underground Injection Control (UIC) program for all classes of injection wells in the State of Delaware is administered by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) and approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) pursuant to theSafe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). Notice of this approval was published in the Federal Register on April 5, 1984 (49 FR 13525); the effective date of this program was May 7, 1984. The UIC Regulations and the UIC permit program are adopted under the authority of Chapter 60 of Title 7 of the Delaware Code.
1.2 The Department may delegate any of the Department's powers, duties or functions to a director of a division, in accordance with 29 Del. C. § 8003(6).
1.3 State Administered Underground Injection Control Program. Authority: Delaware Environmental Protection Act, 7 Del. C. Ch. 60.
1.3.1 Authority. The Permit Program is authorized by 7 Del. C. § 6003 and § 6010.
