Section 2700-9.0 - Issuance and Renewal of License9.1 When an applicant is approved by the Board for licensure, the Division of Professional Regulation will issue a license number and mail a license to the applicant. 9.1.1 Lost, destroyed, or mutilated licenses may be replaced by payment of the appropriate fee to the Division of Professional Regulation. 24 Del.C. § 2716(c).9.1.2 All license and certificate holders shall notify the Board in writing of each change of business address, residence address, e-mail address, telephone number, business telephone number, or trade name within 10 days of the change. The information provided shall be sufficiently descriptive to enable the Board to correspond with and locate the licensee or certificate holder.9.2 Each professional land surveyor license and certificate of authorization shall be renewed biennially. The failure of the Board to notify a licensee or certificate holder of the licensee's expiration date and subsequent renewals does not, in any way, relieve the licensee or certificate holder of the requirement to renew the license or certificate pursuant to the Board's regulations and 24 Del.C. Ch. 27.9.3 Failure of a licensee or certificate holder to renew the license or certificate by the license or certificate expiration date shall cause the license or certificate to lapse. A professional land surveyor or certificate of authorization holder whose license or certificate has lapsed may renew the license/certificate within 6 months after the license/certificate expiration date by paying the renewal fee plus a late fee as determined by the Division of Professional Regulation. In addition to paying the fees, a professional land surveyor must also attest to the completion of the required PDHs to the Division of Professional Regulation, 24 Del.C. § 2711.9.4 Late or lapsed license renewals shall be audited for satisfactory completion of the Board's continuing education requirements.9.5 No professional land surveyor shall practice land surveying in the State of Delaware during the period of time that the surveyor's license is lapsed.9.6 A professional land surveying corporation or partnership must have a certificate of authorization in order to practice, or offer to practice, land surveying as defined in 24 Del.C. § 2722 and cannot perform activities defined in 24 Del.C. § 2722 while a certificate is lapsed.24 Del.
