Section 29-143j-42a - Examination prior to contest or exhibition
(a) All contestants shall be examined by a physician at the official weigh-in or prior to entering the combat area. Such physician shall immediately file a written report of such examination with the commissioner or such commissioner's authorized representative.
(b) All contestants shall be required to disclose the following to the physician performing such examination:
(1) Any illness;
(2) Any injury;
(3) Any health condition;
(4) Any and all medications and supplements recently or currently being taken by the contestant.
(c) The use or administration of any alcohol, stimulant or any drug or injection before or during a contest or exhibition, to or by any contestant, is prohibited. Any drugs, injections or stimulants required for health reasons shall be fully disclosed to the physician assigned by the commissioner or such commissioner's authorized representative.
(d) All contestants may be required to submit to a urine or blood analysis at the weigh-in, prior to or after the bout.
