Section 26-67e-10 - Equipment(a) No resident of Connecticut shall be issued a falconry permit unless the commissioner or his designee has inspected and certified that the falconer is in possession of the following equipment: (1) At least 1 glove or gauntlet appropriate for each species being handled;(2) at least one pair of Aylmeri jesses or similar type constructed of pliable, high-quality leather or suitable synthetic material;(3) a supply of leather and grommets along with grommet setters, a leather punch and cutting tools;(4) at least 1 flexible, weather-resistant leash and 1 strong swivel designed for use with raptors;(5) a digital, triple-beam, postal or baby scale weighing device that is graduated to increments of not more than 1/2 ounce (15 grams) and containing either a solid perch or an artificial turf covering;(6) at least one suitable container, 2 to 6 inches deep and wider than the length of the raptor for the drinking and bathing of each raptor; and,(7) at least one tethering perch designed for use with raptors.(b) All equipment shall be maintained in good working order at all times.Conn.
