Section 21a-408-62 - Transportation of marijuana by producers(a) Prior to transporting any marijuana or marijuana product, including transportation in connection with a recall, a producer shall: (1) Complete a shipping manifest using a form prescribed by the commissioner; and(2) Securely transmit a copy of the manifest to the dispensary facility, laboratory or research program location that will receive the products and to the department at least twenty-four hours prior to transport.(b) The producer and dispensary facility laboratory or research program shall maintain all shipping manifests and make them available in accordance with section 21a-408-72 of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies.(c) A producer shall only transport marijuana products:(1) In a locked, safe and secure storage compartment that is part of the vehicle transporting the marijuana; and(2) In a storage compartment that is not visible from outside of the vehicle.(d) A production facility employee, when transporting marijuana, shall travel directly from the producer facility to the dispensary facility, laboratory or research program locations and shall not make any stops in between, except to other dispensary facilities, laboratories or research program locations.(e) A producer shall ensure that all delivery times and routes are randomized.(f) A producer shall staff all transport vehicles with a minimum of two employees. At least one delivery team member shall remain with the vehicle at all times that the vehicle contains marijuana.(g) A delivery team member shall have access to a secure form of communication with employees at the production facility at all times that the vehicle contains marijuana.(h) A delivery team member shall possess a department-issued identification card at all times when transporting or delivering marijuana and shall produce it to the commissioner or law enforcement official upon request.Conn.
