Section 21-70-2 - Required use of disclosure statement
(a) The disclosure statement described in Section 21-70(a) of the Connecticut General Statutes shall be provided by owners to each prospective resident before any rental agreement is entered into, and to each current resident at the time of the first renewal of the rental agreement that occurs after the effective date of these regulations. Such disclosure statement shall be fully completed by the owner prior to being provided to prospective or current residents.
(b) The text and formatting of the disclosure statement shall be on a form prescribed by the commissioner, in accordance with Section 21-70(a) of the Connecticut General Statutes. The disclosure statement shall include the rights and responsibilities of residents and the obligations of owners.
