(a) For a special marker plate, the commissioner of motor vehicles shall charge each applicant a one time plate fee of seven dollars ($7.00). A registration renewal fee shall be charged with respect to such registration in accordance with expiration schedules established pursuant to section 14-22.(b) Upon surrendering the special marker plates, such former volunteer fire fighter is responsible for any outstanding fees that are required prior to receiving any other vehicle license plates.Conn.
