Under section 1-84(c) of the Connecticut General Statutes, it shall constitute a prohibited use of office for a public official or state employee to use previously confidential information acquired through state service for the financial benefit of any person listed in section 1-84(c) of the Connecticut General Statutes until either such information has been available to the general public for fifteen days or an unrelated member of the general public has made a legitimate offer regarding the economic opportunity, whichever is earlier.
