Section 4 CCR 748-1.4 - Education and Clinical Fellowship RequirementsThe purpose of this Rule is to detail the educational and clinical fellowship requirements for certification set forth in section 12-305-107(1), C.R.S.
A. An applicant for certification must have successfully completed a master's or higher degree in communication sciences and disorders granted by an accredited institution of higher education recognized by the United States Department of Education. An applicant is presumed to have met the requirements of this paragraph if the applicant has successfully completed a master's or higher degree in a speech-language pathology program that is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or its successor association.B. An applicant for certification must have successfully completed a speech-language pathology clinical fellowship approved by either the Director or a Director-approved national certifying body. The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is a Director-approved national certifying body.C. An applicant who holds a current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in speech-language pathology meets the education and clinical fellowship requirements of this Rule.D.
