Section 4 CCR 739-1.25 - POLICIES AND PROTOCOLS FOR DIRECT-ENTRY MIDWIVES IN TRAININGThis Rule is adopted pursuant to sections 12-20-204 and 12-225-108(1)(a) and (g), C.R.S., to develop policies and protocols for direct-entry midwives in training.
A. A direct-entry midwife in training who practices in Colorado shall complete all required policies and protocols set forth in section 12-225-108(1)(g), C.R.S., and as detailed within the Comprehensive Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Essential for Competent Midwifery Practice Checklist as established by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM).B. The NARM Comprehensive Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Essential for Competent Midwifery Practice Checklist (Checklist) is hereby incorporated by reference. The Checklist guideline is available for public inspection at 1560 Broadway, Suite 1350, Denver, CO 80202, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, except such days are state holidays. Certified copies of the incorporated standards and guidelines shall be provided at cost upon request. The Program Director or the Program Director's designee will provide information regarding how the incorporated standards and guidelines may be examined at any state public depository library. The standards and guidelines are also available from the agency, organization or association originally issuing the code, standard, guideline or rules as follows: the North American Registry of Midwives specifically the Instructions for Comprehensive Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Essential for Competent Midwifery Practice Verification Form 201a, page 1 of 2 (effective June 2021).
