Section 3 CCR 702-5-1-23-6 - Disclosure Requirements
A. Within five (5) days from the policyholder submitting a suspected total loss claim, the insurer must send a disclosure notice to the policyholder. This notice must include, at a minimum, the following:
1. Claim Number.
2. Adjuster name, phone number and email address.
3. Appropriate contact information that allows for direct contact with either an employee of the insurer or a representative who is capable of elevating complaints or inquiries to an employee of the insurer.
4. Policy coverage limits, which lists the available dwelling, contents, and other structures coverage amounts.
5. Availability of and the period covered for additional living expense coverage.
6. A detailed explanation of the inventory process as outlined in Section 5.
7. The description of the process to appeal or contest an insurer's determination on an inventory or elements of an inventory as described above.
B. The insurer shall send notice within five (5) days to the policyholder whenever there is a change to the adjuster or manager, along with a written status report, if required by C.R.S. 10-4-110.8 (13) (h) (III), identified pursuant to Section 6.A.2 or 3.
