Section 8 CCR 1402-1-2.231 - INDOOR LEARNING ENVIRONMENTA. Indoor Space Requirements 1. There must be open, indoor play space of at least thirty (30) square feet of floor space per child, including space for movable furniture and equipment. For space to be counted in the square footage calculation, the space must be accessible and used by children.2. Indoor play areas must be uncluttered, safe, and allow for freedom of movement.3. 6. In the infant program, the minimum indoor space per infant for sleep and activities is fifty (50) square feet. a.
