Section 8 CCR 1202-5-4 - LOCATION OF ANHYDROUS AMMONIA SYSTEMS4.1.Location of Containers4.1.1. Consideration shall be given to the physiological effects of ammonia as well as to adjacent fire hazards in selecting the location for a storage container. Containers shall be located outside of buildings or in buildings or sections thereof approved for this purpose.4.1.2. Containers shall be located at least 50 feet from a dug well or other sources of potable water supply, unless the container is a part of a water treatment installation.4.1.3. The location of permanent storage containers shall be outside densely populated areas, unless the location has been approved in writing by the appropriate local governing body.4.1.4.
