Section 6 CCR 1007-1-5.21 - Radiation Surveys5.21.1 The licensee or registrant shall: 5.21.1.1 Conduct all surveys with a calibrated and operable radiation survey instrument that meets the requirements of 5.9;5.21.1.2 Conduct a survey of the radiographic exposure device and the guide tube after each exposure when approaching the device or the guide tube. (1) The survey must determine that the sealed source has returned to its shielded position before exchanging films, repositioning the exposure head, or dismantling equipment.(2) Radiation machines shall be surveyed after each exposure to determine that the machine is off;5.21.1.3 Conduct a survey of the radiographic exposure device whenever the source is exchanged and whenever a radiographic exposure device is placed in a storage area as defined in 5.2, to ensure that the sealed source is in its shielded position; and5.21.1.4 Maintain records in accordance with 5.35.Colorado Register, Vol 37, No. 14.
