Section 22.11 - Distinctive Slow-moving Vehicle Emblem
(1) For the purposes of compliance with the provisions of M.G.L. c. 90, § 7, relative to slow moving vehicle emblems, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has established S276.6 as a standard for a slow-moving vehicle emblem that is acceptable to the Registrar and is incorporated as a regulation of the Registry of Motor Vehicles. An emblem that conforms to the now cancelled SAE J943A standard shall also be acceptable, until further notice of the Registrar, if it was purchased and affixed to the vehicle prior to March 9, 2018.
(2) The emblem shall be securely mounted on the back of the vehicle with broad base down facing squarely to the rear of said vehicle. It shall be located as near to the center of the vehicle as possible, with the bottom of the emblem from three to five feet above the ground, and shall be kept clean.
