Section 30.14 - Inspections Conducted by the Department(1)Right of Inspection. The department shall have the right to inspect the premises and the records of all PEOs and to interview clients, employers, and workers. The director may suspend or revoke the registration of any PEO that fails to furnish records and requested information to the department or its inspector, or if the PEO hinders or interferes with any authorized inspector while in the performance of his or her duties.(2)Subpoena Authority. The director, when investigating any matter pertaining to the issuance, transfer, revocation, or suspension of a PEO registration, may take such testimony as may be necessary on which to base an official action. When taking such testimony, the director may subpoena witnesses and also direct that the department be furnished with necessary materials, books, papers, and other records.Adopted by Mass Register Issue 1389, eff. 4/19/2019.
