Section 4.03 - Replacement of Benefit Checks(1) Whenever a benefit check has been lost or destroyed, such check may be replaced upon application made to the Commissioner. Said application shall be made by the claimant or by a holder in due course. Prior to granting such request, the Commissioner, at his or her discretion, may require that a satisfactory surety bond be furnished.(2) Whenever a check has not been cashed within 90 days from the date of issue thereof, it will be void. The holder of such check may present the uncashed check to the Commissioner or his or her authorized representative for the purpose of issuance of a new check.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1356, eff. 1/12/2018.
