Section 1.82 - Voluntary Siting Activities(1) As part of the notification made pursuant to 345 CMR 1.81(3), the Board shall inform Chief Executive Officers and Chief Elected Officials of the opportunity to participate in voluntary siting activities.(2) The Board shall give notice that grant funds will be available to communities that may be interested in volunteering a site or sites, after the issuance of the Report Identifying Possible Locations pursuant to 345 CMR 1.84(1). The Board shall provide such grants to enable communities to evaluate the potential economic impacts of an LLRW facility.
