Section 30.647 - Special Requirements for Incompatible Wastes(1) Incompatible hazardous wastes, or materials incompatible with hazardous wastes (see310 CMR 30.561 for examples) shall not be placed in the same pile unless 310 CMR 30.560(3) is complied with.(2) A pile which contains hazardous waste that is incompatible with any waste or other material stored nearby in one or more containers, other piles, open tanks or surface impoundments shall be separated from the other materials or protected from them by means of a dike, berm, wall or other device.(3) Hazardous waste shall not be piled on the same base where incompatible wastes or other materials were previously piled, unless the base has been decontaminated sufficiently to ensure compliance with 310 CMR 30.560(3).
