Section 6.11 - Refunds
(1) Notwithstanding other provisions of 205 CMR 6.00, refunds of the entire pool shall be made on:
(a) Win pools, Exacta pools, and first-half Double pools offered in contests in which the number of betting interests has been reduced to fewer than two.
(b) Place pools, Quinella pools, Trifecta pools, first-half Quinella Double pools, first-half Twin Quinella pools, first-half Twin Trifecta pools, and first-half Tri-superfecta pools offered in contests in which the number of betting interests has been reduced to fewer than three.
c) Show pools, Superfecta pools, and first-half Twin Superfecta pools offered in contests in which the number of betting interests has been reduced to fewer than four. (ARCI c. 9 g.p. § K(1)(a-c))
(2) Authorized refunds shall be paid upon presentation and surrender of the affected pari-mutuel ticket. (ARCI c. 9 g.p. § K(2))
(3) In all cases when a horse or dog has been excused by the Stewards or Judges after wagering has started but before it becomes a starter all money wagered on the horse or dog so excused shall be deducted from the pool and be refunded.
(4) In dog, horse and harness racing, if any dog is left in the box, or if any horse is left at the post at the start there shall be no refund.
(5) In horse racing, if any horse is prevented from leaving the post at the start because of being locked in the gate, the money wagered on said horse or horses so locked in the gate shall be deducted from the pool and be refunded.
(6) In horse and harness horse racing, if no horse finishes in a race, all money wagered on that race shall be refunded upon presentation of pari-mutuel tickets issued thereon.
(7) In the case of a race postponed beyond the day originally scheduled, all money wagered on said race shall be refunded.
