Section 5.04 - Kennel Names(1) A licensed owner wishing to race under a Kennel Name may do so by registering for the racing season with the Commission and by paying the prescribed fee.(2) A trainer, who is also a licensed owner or part owner, may use a Kennel Name as owner or part owner. However, no trainer may be licensed as trainer other than in his legal name.(3) In applying to race under a Kennel Name the applicant must disclose the identity or identities behind the Kennel Name.(4) If a partnership is involved in the identity behind a Kennel Name, each of the partners must be licensed as owners.(5) If a corporation is involved in the identity behind a Kennel Name, the rules covering corporations must be complied with.(6) Changes in the identities involved in a Kennel Name must be reported immediately to and approval obtained from the Commission.(7) A licensed owner cannot be a party to more than one Kennel Name at the same time, nor can he use his real name for racing purposes, so long as he has a registered one.(8) A licensed owner who has registered under a Kennel Name may at any time abandon it, after he has given written notice to the Commission.(9) A Kennel Name may be changed at any time by registering a new Kennel Name and by paying the prescribed fee.(10) A licensed owner cannot register as his Kennel Name one that is then registered by any other owner.(11) A licensed owner cannot register as his Kennel Name one which is the real name of any owner of greyhounds racing or one that is the real or assumed name of any prominent person not owning greyhounds.(12) A Kennel Name shall be plainly distinguishable from that of another duly registered Kennel Name.(13) The Commission reserves the right to refuse any corporation the privilege of registering a Kennel Name.
