Section 138.55 - Inspection of Slot Machine JackpotsThe system of internal controls submitted by a gaming licensee in accordance with 205 CMR 138.02 shall include policies and procedures governing the inspection of slot machines and electronic gaming devices including, at a minimum, the following provisions:
(1) For all slot machine and other electronic gaming device jackpots over $75,000 in cash, merchandise, or cash equivalent value, or any jackpot where there is evidence of a malfunction, the gaming licensee shall notify the IEB that a jackpot has been registered and permit the IEB to inspect any slot machine, progressive equipment or related equipment; and(2) Policies with respect to the payment of jackpots if an inspection is pending, but not yet completed, or an inspection is performed and the results are such that the jackpot may have been the result of an impropriety.Adopted by Mass Register Issue 1288, eff. 6/5/2015.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1332, eff. 2/10/2017.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1343, eff. 7/14/2017.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1367, eff. 6/15/2018.
