Section 315.200 - Medical Examiner's Certificate

No dead body received from outside Massachusetts shall be cremated by any corporation authorized to cremate the bodies of the dead until its officers have received a certificate from a medical examiner or forensic investigator of this Commonwealth, or from a medical examiner or similarly authorized person in whose jurisdiction said death occurred, that he or she has viewed the body and is of the opinion that no further examination or judicial inquiry concerning the same is necessary.
