Section 932.11 - Emergency Health Care (Required)Written policy and procedure shall provide 24 hour emergency medical and dental care ability as outlined in a written plan. This written plan shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
(1) On site emergency first aid by health trained staff or health care personnel;(2) Emergency evacuation of the inmate from within the facility;(3) Use of an emergency medical vehicle;(4) Use of one or more designated hospital emergency rooms or other appropriate health facilities;(5) Emergency on-call physician and dental services when the emergency health facility is not located in a nearby community; and,(6) Security procedures that provide for immediate transfer of inmates when appropriate.
