Section 403.08 - Inmate Property Inventory and Documentation(1) The Property Officer at each institution shall maintain a current, accurate, individual property inventory for each inmate housed or assigned to the institution, which shall be maintained in IMS.(2) The Superintendent or designee shall ensure that the institution conducts a property inventory for each inmate housed or assigned to the institution on an annual basis. The officer conducting the inventory search shall provide the inmate with a copy of the IMS master list detailing the property that was accounted for during the inventory. The inmate shall then acknowledge that the inventory list on IMS accurately reflects his or her property. Refusals to acknowledge shall be documented by the Property Officer.(3) The use of, format, required content, and/or specific procedures regarding all forms, reports, etc., either paper or electronic, or changes thereto, shall be initially forwarded to the Property Committee for review, then to the Commissioner for approval.Amended by Mass Register Issue 1342, eff. 6/30/2017.
