Section 164.009-1 - General(a) This subpart contains- (1) Procedures for approval of noncombustible materials used in merchant vessel construction;(2) The test and measurements required for approval of materials; and(3) A list of noncombustible materials for which specific approval under this subpart is not required.(b) The test and measurements described in this subpart are conducted by a laboratory designated by the Commandant.
