Section 1236.30 - [Effective 8/28/2024] Requirements for digitizing temporary records(a) If an agency intends to digitally reproduce (digitize) temporary records in order to use the digitized records in place of the source records, the agency must: (1) Digitize the record to the standards in § 1236.32 ;(2) Validate the digitization according to § 1236.34 ; and(3) Manage the digital records according to the requirements in subparts A, B, and C of this part.(b) When an agency disposes of source records, the agency must follow the requirements in § 1236.36 .84 FR 14266, 5/10/2019; 89 FR 46804, 8/28/2024
