Section 187.203 - What are the voluntary provisions for a participating State?A participating State may-
(a) Provide VIS with the optional information listed in subpart B of this part;(b) Make available to VIS updated information provided by the vessel owner, government agency, or secured party about a vessel that has been moved to a non-participating State of principal operation; and(c) Interact with non-participating States to make information available to, or request information from, VIS concerning a vessel or nationwide statistics.
