Section 1.27 - Office of Congressional AffairsThe Office of Congressional Affairs-
(a) Advises the Chairman, the Commission, and NRC staff on all NRC relations with Congress and the views of Congress toward NRC policies, plans and activities;(b) Maintains liaison with Congressional committees and members of Congress on matters of interest to NRC;(c) Serves as primary contact point for all NRC communications with Congress;(d) Coordinates NRC internal activities with Congress;(e) Plans, develops, and manages NRC's legislative programs; and(f) Monitors legislative proposals, bills, and hearings.57 FR 1639, Jan. 15, 1992
