Each institution and camp shall maintain procedures to promptly collect, inventory and safeguard the property of wards. Procedures shall include methods to:
(a) Record receipt, safeguard, and return permissible property to the ward, or provide for other appropriate disposition.(b) Maintain standards as to the type, amount, and size of property a ward may possess.(c) Assist a ward recover lost or damaged property.(d) Assist a ward to obtain reimbursement for lost or damaged property when staff negligence is involved.(e) Collect, inventory and safeguard the property of a ward who is temporarily away from his usual location.(f) Dispose of property in excess of the allowable amount when a ward is to be transferred to another institution.Cal.
