Communications between a ward and employee, except a chaplain as prescribed in Section 30262, shall not be treated as "privileged communications." Wards shall be advised by way of the Ward Rights Handbook that any information provided by a ward may be considered by departmental staff and the Board in making decisions about the ward and will generally be available to other agencies in the criminal justice system, consistent with the Information Practices Act. However, such information shall be deemed confidential as far as the general public or other wards are concerned.
