Section 740 - Psychiatric Direction and Supervision(a) Direction and Supervision. Rehabilitative services provided by a local mental health service or by contract shall be under the general direction of a person who qualifies under Section 623, 624, 625, 626, 627, 628, 629 or 630.(b) Medical Responsibility. For rehabilitative services provided, a physician shall assume responsibility for all those acts of diagnosis, treatment, or prescribing or ordering of drugs which may only be performed by a licensed physician as authorized by Section 2051 of the Business and Professions Code.Cal.
