Section 7026 - Mechanical Haulage Refuge Stations(a) (9-110) Refuge stations for pedestrians shall be provided at intervals not exceeding 200 feet along the haulageway on every mine level where a 30-inch passageway cannot be maintained.(b) Each refuge station shall be not less than 4 feet long and shall afford a space at least 2 ½ feet in width between the widest portion of the car or train running on the railroad track and the side of the refuge.(c) Refuge stations shall be plainly marked and kept free of rubbish.(d) Ample passing space shall be provided along haulageways where trackless haulage is used.Cal.
