Section 56297 - Special Projects and Incentives(a) The Chancellor may allocate funds for recommended special projects which seek to benefit the statewide, regional, or local conduct of EOPS programs, provided that no special project duplicates college or EOPS activities.(b) Special projects shall be recommended by the advisory committee established pursuant to section 69643 of the Education Code.(c) Funding for special projects shall consist of amounts set aside for this purpose in the Governor's Budget. The Chancellor may redirect funds released pursuant to section 56292 to fund additional special projects.(d) Colleges which demonstrate outstanding effectiveness based upon evaluations conducted pursuant to section 56278 of this subchapter shall receive priority consideration for use of special project funds or other funds which may be released pursuant to section 56292.Cal.
