Section 30500 - General Provisions

The Paul Douglas Teacher Scholarship Program is a federal program designed to encourage individuals to become teachers. It is administered at the federal level by the United States Department of Education. The federal laws relating to this program are found in Title 20 of the United States Code, Sections 1111 through 1111 h. The federal regulations relating to this program are found in Title 34 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 653. The California Student Aid Commission has received approval from the United States Department of Education to administer this program in California. There are no California statutes directly relating to this program. The regulations in this article supplement the federal laws and regulations mentioned above.
