Section 4532 - Volumetric Sampling and Test Procedures

In accordance with section 4600 of this division, the Department establishes the volumetric sampling and test procedures for determining net contents of packaged and stacked firewood to be those published in the current edition of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Handbook 133, Checking the Net Contents of Packaged Goods, "Chapter 3. Test Procedures - For Packages Labeled by Volume, Section 3.14. Firewood - Volumetric Test Procedure for Packaged Firewood with a Labeled Volume of 113 L (Liters) [4 ft³ (Cubic Feet)] or Less and Stacked Firewood Sold by the Cord or Fractions of a Cord." inclusive, and are therein adopted and incorporated by reference.
