Section 7229 - Records Retention, Inspections and Audits
(a) The Bureau of State Audits and Authority staff may conduct audits to ensure Grantees used Grant funds consistent with the Act, this Chapter or the Grant Agreement.
(b) Grantees shall retain all Grant fund financial records necessary to substantiate the purpose for which the Grant funds were spent for a period of three (3) years after notification to the Authority that all reports required for Grant fund expenditures have been submitted.

1. New section filed 2-23-2018 as a deemed emergency pursuant to Government Code section 15438.11; operative 2-23-2018 (Register 2018, No. 8). A Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 8-22-2018 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.
2. New section, including designation of section as subsection (b) and new subsection (a), refiled 8-22-2018 as a deemed emergency pursuant to Government Code section 15438.11; operative 8-22-2018 (Register 2018, No. 34). A Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 11-20-2018 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.
3. Refiling of 8-22-2018 action 11-19-2018 as a deemed emergency pursuant to Government Code section 15438.11; operative 11-21-2018 pursuant to Government Code section 11346.1(d) (Register 2018, No. 47). A Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 2-19-2019 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.
4. Certificate of Compliance as to 11-19-2018 order transmitted to OAL 12-4-2018 and filed 1-16-2019 (Register 2019, No. 3).
