The aerial application of paraquat for preplant or preemergence weed control shall be made only in accordance with the following restrictions:
(a) Jet nozzles having an orifice of not less than 1/16 inch in diameter shall be used with such orifices directed backward parallel to the horizontal axis of the aircraft in flight. A number 46 (or equivalent) or larger whirlplate may be used.(b) Boom pressure shall not exceed 40 pounds per square inch.(c) Spray material shall not be discharged at a height of more than ten (10) feet above the crop or target.(d) Wind velocity shall not exceed 10 miles per hour.Cal.
