Section 1701.6 - Appeal Procedures when License is Denied(a) If the license is denied, there are two methods by which an appeal can be made: a writ pursuant to the Code of Civil Procedure, or an administrative hearing as described in Article 7 of these regulations. The Department shall not tell the applicant the course he or she should follow. However, it is considered best practice to pursue administrative remedies first.
