Development assistance may be used for costs incurred in connection with self-help construction including the following.
(a) The cost of acquiring or refinancing the property;(b) The cost of site preparation, demolition, and clearing;(c) Architectural, engineering, legal, accounting, consulting, and other fees in connection with the planning, execution, and financing of the project;(d) The cost of necessary studies, surveys, plans and permits;(e) The cost of insurance, interest and financing, taxes and assessments and carrying costs incurred during self-help construction;(f) Onsite construction costs of labor and material directly for self-help construction;(g) The cost of offsite improvements, including streets, sewers, and utilities.Cal.
