(a) A fire sprinkler system installed during the manufacture of the manufactured home or multifamily manufactured home with two dwelling units must be hydrostatically tested both at the manufacturing facility and at the home's installation site. (1) The hydrostatic test performed at the manufacturing facility:(A) must be conducted on the completely assembled system within any one transportable section; and(B) must subject the system to 100 pounds per square inch (psi) hydrostatic pressure for not less than 2 hours without any loss of pressure or leakage of water. Testing shall be performed in accordance with the applicable product standards.(2) The person responsible for installing the manufactured home or multifamily manufactured home with two dwelling units must hydrostatically test the system again at the home's installation site with the water supply available at the site for at least one hour without any evidence of leakage. (A) The testing must be performed at a minimum of 50 psi; not to exceed 100 psi.(B) A representative of the enforcement agency must witness the hydrostatic test at the home's installation site during the same site visit to inspect the installation of the home or dwelling unit.(b) A fire sprinkler system must be hydrostatically tested at the home's installation site when the fire sprinkler system is installed after the manufactured home or multifamily manufactured home with two dwelling units is shipped from the manufacturing facility, or upon installation or reinstallation of the home or dwelling unit.(1) The person who installed the fire sprinkler system is responsible for performing the test.(2) A representative of the enforcement agency must witness the test.(3) The installer must conduct the test on the completely assembled system.(4) The installer must conduct the test with the water supply available at the home's site for a period of two hours without any evidence of leakage.
