Section 3979.8 - Update of the Salt Management Plan

On April 25, 2014, the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board adopted Resolution No. R8-2014-0005, amending the Water Quality Control Plan for the Santa Ana Region. The State Water Resources Control Board approved the amendment under Resolution No. 2014-0034 on July 15, 2014.

Resolution No. R8-2014-0005 updates the Salt Management Plan to reflect updated information and to incorporate revisions to the TDS and nitrate assimilative capacity findings and a site-specific nitrogen loss coefficient for the San Jacinto area Groundwater Management Zones and update of the "Maximum Benefit" Programs for the San Timoteo, Yucaipa and Beaumont Groundwater Management Zones. Resolution No. R8-2014-0005 also includes formal incorporation into the Water Quality Control Plan of the statewide Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems Policy.
