Section 876.7 - Limitation on Inefficient Domestic Lawn Irrigation
(a) Inefficient surface water uses in the Mill Creek and Deer Creek Watersheds for domestic lawn watering, which result in excessive water diversion for a small amount of water used for beneficial use are not reasonable in light of the alternatives available and needs of the fishery. For the purposes of this regulation, inefficient surface water uses for domestic lawn watering are those that use more than 18.5 gallons per day per 100 square feet, a reasonable water quantity set forth in Article 5, section 697.

1. New section filed 10-4-2021 as an emergency; operative 10-4-2021 (Register 2021, No. 41). The finding of emergency was exempt from OAL review pursuant to Water Code section 1058.5(b). Pursuant to Water Code section 1058.5(c), a Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 10-3-2022 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.
2. Refiling of 10-4-2021 emergency on 9-21-2022 as an emergency; operative 9-21-2022 (Register 2022, No. 38). The finding of emergency was exempt from OAL review pursuant to Water Code section 1058.5(b). Pursuant to Water Code section 1058.5(c), a Certificate of Compliance must be transmitted to OAL by 9-20-2023 or emergency language will be repealed by operation of law on the following day.
