Section 97510.43 - Dietetic Service-Policies and Procedures(a) Policies and procedures to govern the provision of dietetic services shall be developed and maintained by the consultant dietitian in consultation with representatives of the medical staff, nursing staff and administration. Policies and procedures shall be approved by the Medical Director, Administrator and the Office.(b) Policies shall address but not be limited to the following: (1) Who shall be responsible for the dietetic service and to whom they shall be accountable.(2) Who is responsible for identifying patients' dietary needs.(3) Who is responsible for the development of menus to meet patients' needs.(4) Preparation and storage of food.(5) Dietetic service staffing.(6) Dietetic service sanitation.(7) Dietetic service record keeping.(8) Supplies and equipment-requirements, procurement, and storage.(9) Dietetic service space.Cal.
