Section 86175 - [Operative 7/1/2024] Health-Related Services(a) Each THPP participant shall receive all necessary medical, dental, vision, mental health services, substance use disorder services, and reproductive and sexual health care.(1) Participants shall have access to age-appropriate, medically accurate information about reproductive health care, the prevention of unplanned pregnancy, and the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.(A) "Medically accurate" as used in Section 86175(a)(1) shall have the same meaning as defined in Section 51931(f) of the Education Code.(b) The THPP participant's physician has stated, in writing, that the THPP participant is able to determine and administer their own prescription or nonprescription PRN medication.(c) First aid supplies shall be maintained in the THPP participant living unit and staff residential unit. (1) Supplies shall include at least the following:(A) Current edition of a first aid manual approved by the American Red Cross, the American Medical Association or a state or federal health agency.(B) Sterile first aid dressings.(C) Bandages or roller bandages.(2) THPP employees responsible for providing direct care and supervision of participants shall receive training in CPR and First Aid, and should maintain an age appropriate certification in CPR from persons qualified to provide such training.(3) Participants with children residing in the living unit shall receive training in First Aid and an age appropriate CPR from persons qualified to provide such training.(4) Proof of successful completion of training and current certification shall be maintained in the personnel and participants' records.Cal.
