Section 73517 - Admission of Patients(a) The licensee shall: (1) Admit a patient only on orders of a licensed healthcare practitioner acting within the scope of his or her professional licensure.(2) Accept and retain only those patients for whom it can provide adequate care.(3) Admit each patient only after a preadmission personal interview according to the written policies of the facility, with the patient's licensed healthcare practitioner acting within the scope of his or her professional licensure, referring health practitioner, the patient, the patient's next of kin and/or sponsor, as appropriate.
