Section 22101.5 - Public Agency Use of Safe at Home Designated Address Exemption(a) When a state or local agency, has a bona fide statutory or administrative requirement to use a confidential address of a Safe at Home Program Participant, the agency may request an exemption. The requesting agency shall submit a written request to the Safe at Home program identifying the bona fide statutory or administrative requirement to use the address that would otherwise be confidential.(b) The agency request for exemption shall include all of the following:(1) A detailed description of the agency's statutory or administrative requirement to use the residential address which would otherwise be confidential;(2) The name, address, telephone number, and signature of the agency's contact person, and date of signing;(3) A statement that the confidential address will be used solely for the statutory and administrative purposes provided in the request;(4) A written confirmation of procedures that will be used so the confidential address is kept confidential and not made available in public record.(c) The Safe at Home program shall determine whether the requesting agency has a bona fide statutory or administrative requirement for the use of the address which would otherwise be confidential, and that the requesting agency has adequate procedures to maintain confidentiality of the Program Participant's residential address.(d) The Safe at Home program shall notify the requesting agency and the affected Program Participant of its determination.Cal.
