Section 2114 - Drilling Operations(a) No lessee shall drill an oil or gas well on state lands except on prior approval of the Division of State Lands and subject to the terms of the enabling statute and lease and then only provided that any well so drilled within any oil zone, shall be at least 50 feet away from the blanked off portions of any well not within control of the lessee and at least 200 feet away from the perforated section of any well not within the control of the lessee.(b) As a preliminary condition to approval of the drilling of a well, the lessee shall submit the proposed course of the well with vertical and horizontal projections of said course drawn upon graph paper to a scale of 100 feet to the inch. Upon completion of the well, the lessee shall file with the Division of State Lands a complete survey of the well, electric log, well history, driller's log and all core data.Cal. Code Regs.
