(a) These regulations apsply to work consisting of the installation, alteration or repair of all water-based fire protection systems as defined in Section 924.12. EXCEPTIONS:
(1) Installation, alteration or repair of one and two-family residential sprinkler systems is excluded from these regulations.(2) The installation, alteration or repair of underground water supply lines from the connection of the water supply to the first joint, or mechanical connection at the base of the system riser, are excluded from these regulations.(3) The installation of pre-engineered water-based fixed extinguishing systems are excluded from these regulations.Cal.
