Section 54526 - Positions Creating Conflicts of Interests for Employees, Contractors, Agents and Consultants(a) A conflict of interest exists when a regional center employee with decision or policy making authority, or contractor, agent or consultant with authority to act on behalf of the regional center, or family member of such person, is any of the following for a business entity, entity, or provider as defined in these regulations:(1) a governing board member;(2) a board committee member;(13) holds any position of management;(14) has decision or policy making authority.(b) A regional center employee, contractor, agent, or consultant, or a family member of such person, who is an employee, contractor, agent, or consultant of a state or local governmental entity that provides services to regional center consumers, and that individual works in a position that does not relate to providing services to regional center consumers, does not have a conflict of interest as a result of his or her position with the state or local governmental entity. However, a regional center employee, contractor, agent, or consultant cannot be an employee of the Department of Developmental Services.Cal. Code Regs. Tit. 17, § 54526
